A new approach to metering
A MeterSuite solution provides metering computer system functionality using Honeywell DCS hardware and software. It enables the metering system functionality to be integrated within a DCS without the need for flow computers. Although, a hybrid solution is also available.
Designed in 2004 by DCS experts and leading oil and gas metering engineers, MeterSuite combines the benefits of two technologies. Honeywell Experion product provided excellent process control and HMI / operator features together with extended lifecycle support (process migration) not available in traditional meter computer systems. Swinton Technology, provided the specialist flow metering application knowledge having supplied many bespoke metering computer systems to operators, mainly in the UK.

Configuration and Features
MeterSuite can be configured to meet the needs of small or large systems. It may also co-exist with existing PCS control strategies in the same controller.

- Supports C200, C300 and ACE controllers
- Flexible I/O choices—direct connect or remote options available, analog, HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, advanced pulse and Universal I/O options
- Gas & Liquid metering calculation libraries implemented as familiar configurable blocks in the CEE:
- AGA Library, covering AGA 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10
- ISO5167 and ISO6976
- API11.1 and API11.2.4
- Costald-Tait density
- Fiscal totalising block
- Custom algorithm blocks for specialist applications can be quickly compiled
- Fast execution environment in C200 and C300 controllers
- Native 64bit ‘Double Precision’ values exceeds current level of precision for Custody transfer metering calculation (0.001%) providing repeatability, reliability and security as expected by regulatory authorities DECC, MID, OIML and AER
- Tracking/audit trail for configuration changes to support API MPMS Chapter 21.1 and 21.2-based solutions
- An Experion MeterSuite Solution may consist of new Experion hardware or may utilize existing Experion hardware
- The MeterSuite solution can be supported by the local affiliate as it is based on the standard Experion Platform and configuration tools
MeterSuite is available in all Experion software revisions, from R201 to the latest (R530 @May24).
